I live like 2 mins from there i always go there for shad. Flathead108 that is the best spot to fish that is where I always have my luck only problem there is all the snags. Its a great spot to fish there are some hawgs in there Ive seen 80's pulled out of there biggest Ive caught is a 40 but the turtles like the shad to. Be careful with your cast net though alot of people lose them in there, there is alot of boulders in there. but its shallow so just go in for it thats what I do. Just fish on the bottom straight out about 30 feet with a nice whole shad and about a 3oz sinker youll be golden. Let me know next time you wanna go in the mornin I work 2nd shift so I can fish till about 2pm. I need a new fishin buddy my wife hates river fishin she likes "BOBBER FISHING"

Re: Memorial weekend at Cedar « Result #26 on Jun 1, 2009, 9:03pm »
Thanks. We had a good weekend!! My husband also caught a 30# shovelhead. My 54.8 won first place Monday and it was the biggest of the weekend. But that was the biggest fish I have caught so far! It was fun to bring in!
Help me choose? « Result #30 on May 31, 2009, 6:37pm »
Ok I went fishing the other night and my buddy has a 10ft stcroix mod to fast action surf rod I fell in love after he let me cast it. I was wondering if there is any thing that compares to this rod maybe a little cheeper. I was looking at the emcast and the okuma solaris but didn't cast them. So should I buy one of the cheaper models I mentioned or just break the bank and buy the st croix? Thank you
