What happened to you guys Thursday (yesterday), why did you guys leave like that ?

You show up at the lake (Hickory Grove) at 4:30 in the morning and start fishing. fished for about 3 hours and then when the owner shows up you guys left without paying you guys really missed out as the fish turned on later that day (caught 5 missed 3 or 4 and had a couple get off) anyway,.......Rob (the owner) knew I was meeting you guys up there and that we were from " Cincypaylakes.com " and the way you guys left without paying really made me and this site look bad.

I personally think what you guys did was BULLSH*T, Rob is a great guy and has a great lake with lots of trophy shovels and blues and that was no way to treat him.

You 2 and your buddy are no longer welcome at Hickory Grove !

BTW,.....If you guys see me fishing at a lake, fish on the other side !

I'm going to unlock this thread. I just got off of the phone with the guy from Hickory Grove. I gave him an apology on behalf of the site. This kind of stuff looks really bad, and I work too hard on this site to have a few guys screw it up. I have made ZERO dollars to date on this site (it actually costs me money for the web hosting). I'm trying to provide a place for good discussion and some fun too (tournaments, giveaways, etc). You guys disrespected the site, all of the members, and me.

Snake513 is not welcome here and has been banned due to rules violations in his post as well as this 'incident'

larrylegend - I urge you to act like a man, apologize to the all the board members (as well as me), go to Hickory Grove and give the guy his twelve bucks or whatever, and apologize to that man as well. If you don't do so, you won't be welcome here either.

I agree, the owner could just simply say when he is not there lake is closed except for the ones that is already on the lake. Its not to hard to just go up whe they get in and pay them there money..

Being new to the site and not really knowing who the HMFIC is, sounds like to me someone had a great idea to do postings on local pay lakes which was something that was so desperately needed in this area. The only reason I found this site was Cedar Lake's advertisment hanging in the club house, I had no clue that something like this existed. This is truely a great thing for those of us who catfish at the local paylakes. However, getting on this site and putting up child-like posts of who did what, when, and where won't do ANYTHING or ANYGOOD for the promotion of this site. Not the best idea to show up at a lake @ 4:30am, drop in, and then leave when Rob shows up, but on the other hand going back and forth like a group of 10 year olds ain't the best thing for the site either. GROW UP!

thanks again cincypaylakes the situation was handled perfectly no one needs to GROW UP certain things need to be brought out on the table and this situation did,guys like that make us all look bad.

Their actions affected us all as a group (and me personally) and I felt like it should not go unnoticed !

Nobody is going back and forth like a bunch of 10yr olds. I said what I wanted to and I was done with it until I read your post. maybe you should put yourself in my shoes, wait a minute no need to do that because if this would have happened to you you would have not said anything and the group would now have a bad name and without us knowing about it. This way we were able to address the problem.

Myself and Mike have talked to Rob and made sure he understood that myself and " Cincypaylakes.com " are not like that, please don't hold it against us.
