Lake butler ..... When i first started fishing paylakes we tried all of them.... Well we tried alot of lakes and didnt catch a thing for the most part... we went to butler for the first time and have been addicted to catfishing ever since... If their not hittn anywhere else, go to butler. They might not be hogs but your gonna catch fish... Snake caught a 60+ out of there a few yrs ago... It is a mud puddle but it will spoil you...

lake is a decent size... seems like a country club to me.... to many rules for a paylake....onwer made me in my buddy change our hooks we were using 7/0 circle hooks owner gave us some 3/0 bass hooks ha ha... told us our hooks were goin to hurt his fish..

yeah me and hawgie went there yesterday not a good outing especially for a first time at the lake let me tell ya i understand you gotta have rules but enough is enough. i payed 15 $ to fish in a goldfish pond with bass hooks that he gave us. then this lady came down to fish next to us which was fine i ya know but if she would of payed attention to her pole it would of been better but no she let it drift over my buddies line like 3 times and that gets agervating after awhile. but he was a nice guy but hell if i wanted all those rules i would of went back to school. then my buddie got a run and missed it so the owner came out and told him that he was hooking it the wrong way i mean it was just a joke.so we stayed there for 2 hrs and left.

yeah he does mean well and he was a nice guy but when he told us to change our hooks that really did it for us. a hook is a hook and he also said that he would rather see us change our hooks then to kill his fish. but if the hook is down in the fishes throat most of the time you just cut it anyways and go on but i dont know it just wasnt for me. i dont want to sound like a jerk and im not downing his lake cause i know you gotta have rules and guidlines but you gotta draw the line somewhere .
