Hey tat2dan.......Thank you very much for the advice. I fished on the point just left of the bait house throwing out to the right of the fountain, bring it back till it drops off 101 Lb. Blue Cat I thought this deserved its own thread. My question is, who was the poor guy that had to net the thing?

A couple older fellers fishing next to me walked down to give me a hand once I got him close to the bank (within 20 ft.), good thing to or I would have been in trouble. It was weird, while I was fighting this fish for about 20 to 25 minutes nobody came over to see what I had been fighting. usually the whole lake would of surrounded you waiting to see what it is,.......It was like nobody got real excited, just another big fish

What bait, what gear, and how did the gear hold up?

Nice catch man, now u see why i fish there so much. I guess the advice come in handy, lol. Maybe i'll catch u up there one day, and we'll catch the hell out of some fish. No matter if the fish are biting or not, i can always pull fish out of that hole. Wait till u get in a school of them big blues 60+ and catch about 10 in a row its a blast. Small lake but loaded with monsters.

This was my first time out to this lake, I went out Thursday afternoon to see if I could find it. once I found it I hung around and talk to some fisherman. met 1 guy named Mark, very cool guy he told me alot about the lake. So I arrived Friday morning picked my recommended spot and sat there for about 4 hours......Nothing. so I decided to move (this move took place around 10am) about 20 feet to the right (bank distance)(water/float distance was about 50 yards to the right). baited up with leeches using 40 lb test (Berkley Big Game) on my reels and 30 lb test for a leader. casted about 75 yards out and trolled it back until it drops down in that hole/ledge I found. it only sat for maybe 10 minutes and down my float went. grabbed the pole swung to set the hook and he brought me back to the lakes edge : ) at that point I knew I was going to be in for a long ride (20 to 25 minutes). custom 11' poles with Abu Garcia 6500 C4's held up great and handled this fish like a dream, man the drag on these Abu 6500 C4's are smooth.

Randy, your from amelia like i am, can ya give me a pm on directions and how far? thanks It takes me about 40 to 45 minutes to get there. go east on 32 untill you get to Winchester. once you get to Winchester go the oppisite direction, away from Winchester (right turn off 32, I think it's RT.136 there will be a sign pointing to Winchester) then go about 1/2 to 1 mile and you will see a big white sign with blue letters.........Your there !
