I have multiple tanks in the basement{fishroom}. I breed African Cichlids {Aulonocara/Peacocks} and sell them online {aquabid and website}. Looks like maybe its time to turn my 125 gallon into a bait tank ;D Maybe I could breed and raise Izzys for when they are hard to get late in the season. imagin what I could do if I was the only 1 on the lake with them

I have more fry, about 80- 100 more firecons, I'm about to call a patent office and see what I need to do to make some money off these guys. The first batch are about a 1/2-1 in long, and are starting to color up. If anything I will I will grow them out and use them for catfish bait ;D I'll have pictures here shortly, it's hard to keep lil fish to keep still using a cheap digital camera.

Python just a heads up but if you get caught using tropical Fish for bait you can get into big trouble. It is against the law to do so. I guess they don't want fish like that around here.

I know that would apply to a public water (you could get a ticket for using gold fish in the river), but would that apply for private property like a paylake?

Defiantly would, I think. Don't know what would happen if you get caught using tropical fish.

I have always wondered what a nice size dempsey or red devil would do on my hook...

I was joking about using them as bait, if anything I would feed them to my oscars, or ratliffs oscars or piranhas. On another note I've seen warmouths being sold at pet shops before. Ussually someone trades them in not knowing what they have and the pet shop doesn't know any better.

I now have a cross between a regular convict and a jack demphsey. Well here soon I will. They just laid eggs and are fighting my oscars off. Can't wait to see how they look grown out. The 1rst hatch of firecons are kinda light, hopefully they will color up. The 2nd batch are darker, but still really small.
