Does anyone catch their own skips? If so what time of year do they bite the best? I heard you can catch them all summer at the dams on the ohio but thats a far drive for me. I read on this site that you can go to the public landing, also dont wont to go there and waste my time if its the wrong time of year.

i got a few holes for them but they seem to be there when the waters warm.....where can i find them all year for sure

I'm not asking for anyones honey hole but will the public landing get me some skipjack? I heard that schmidt park is also a good spot.
