Last night i went nightcrawler hunting for the first time since i was about 12. I forgot how fun that was. I have know idea how to keep them for an extended amount of time. I got them in some dirt and compost in a cooler but do i have to keep them cold like at the bait shop. 2.50 a dozen, I think I'll hunt my own from know on got about 4 dz for free

We just put a bunch of lose soil in a 5 gal bucket. Put all the worms on it. we keep them in the brick sheed. Add a few cups of water every few day to keep them moist and thats it. We usualy keep 10-30 doz like that all summer. We dont keep them in a coller or anything. Just change out the soil a few times.
