i went and fished CfP2 a few days back and me and my dad was fishing and this guy who picks up trash for the lake told us that he used WD-40 and chicken breast and said in 2 days he caught over 100 fish and yesterday he caught 30 fish mostly blues bigest 42lbs he said he caught plenty in the 30s also. i didint beleive him until he came back that day and caught 3 fish back to back right when he started fishing. as soon as it hit the water his float would go down no joke. if it was gone in 3min he recasted and caught fish. sure enough i may give this a try. but wouldnt you think this could harm the fish if they get your bait off the hook. i dont want to harm the fish.

Don't know if it harms fish....one would think so, but?.......WD-40 contains fish oil so supposedly that is why it works.

wd-40 DOES harm the fishes' digestive tract and CAN be fatal at times!!!!!!!!!

i like to paylake and i don't want to harm the fish but if you guy's think about it they are going to die in like 6 months anyway in a paylake so what does it matter and paylaking is cheating also but i love to paylake im just stating facts i have never used wd 40 but i will try it now thanks man

fish in paylakes dont die in 6 months, if they taken care of they will live a long time ,it is up to the fishermen to do there part to ensure there safe release back. I have seen people use wd40 before and never realy saw them catch anymore than anyone else. if it is bad for the fish then it shouldnt be used ,but that is up to the indevidual ,but if it does work thats like saying that bullets in a gun are cheating when your hunting.

our lake has been a paylake since the mid 70's. They started tagging the larger fish back in 2000. we have a log of all "current" tagged fish in our lake. two of out tagged fish were caught this year. a 37 lb blue that was last caught in 2005, and a 47 lb shovel that was last caught in 2004.
We highly discourage wd40 in our lake mainly for fish health,, but also for water quality to protect the undergraound spring and creek that feed it.

i love paylakes and all but i would rather go to the river on our boat and fish and catch easy 20 fish than pay 12-15 bucks for a lake
