People at private lake I fish at used wd-40 on bluegill heads and tore em up. Wd-40 used to have whale oil in it a loonmg time ago. Guess thats how it started. But it's the oil in there that attracts fish. WE warned them not to do it anymore, but at a touney we had we heared a spray can go off. I shined my light into the water and sure enough there was a trail of oil. Hey, if you care about your lake and want others to enjoy it also. Dont put an industrial grease in it!! Kinda carzy bait we use in that lake is Kahns hot dogs. I kill the channles and flatheads n em. Even caught bass and when I ran out of wax worms I caught bluegill. Tried em at cp when that small lake was behind the baithouse that was a channel cat lake i heared,. Never got a bite. Was there anything in there back then? I heared he dug a new one or redug that one. Hows that one?
