i do alot of river fishin but it always seems hit or miss on the bait. i caught most of my fish on liver and blue gills. any one know of anything better?

Try to forget about the liver. It will produce smaller fish on hot days, try bluegill head and body. Crayfish are also good, any thing i have listed along with many many more.

thanks man means alot always better to know a little more every day. i have to fish in the river more than any thing because it is close. but you have to go to the fish they dont come to you

I like using soft bait in the river, warmouth, shinners (favorite) and of course shad. Cut carp work good plus you get to wipe a carp out! Heads of any fish seems to work I found that fresher the head the better. Keep us updated on your river catches

chubs or warmouth and warmouth heads are my favorite bait in the river. or smallmouth bass they are awsome bait for shovels some days.

i have a chub tank at home. it is hard to take care of but well worth it with fish turn out and thaks for the info
