I have never thrown a cast net.....I read on another site - when the water is a little clearer - take some powdered milk /flour and oatmeal and throw it in a sopt - supposedly this will attract the shad and the "net will be full" ?

i went this past sunday adn that just kicked the fever into high gear, Hey Mark i took a vacation day for next friday so i will be able to make it afterall. YEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAA i just hope/wish that others would sign up, if they would read up on the lake they would see/read that it is a great lake to fish and alot of big ones in there. Got a question for you, how much are you stocking for the opening wk.end tourney? And are we aloud to keep the channels if we catch them or so we have to through them back being its a tourney.. I have fished some tournies that you must put the fish (channels) back after you weigh them in.. Just a few question i had.. Mostly how much are you stocking? Thanks and see you this Sunday..

this sounds like a great lake, did a map quest 100 miles from my house just to far for now but maybe make a trip this summer and fish all weekend do you allow tents and camping.

all fish must be released "IF" they are to be counted for the tourny. for example, if ya catch a 30 pounder and a channel in the same hour, you may count the 30 pounder and keep the channel if its not gonna be wieghed or counted for the tourny. i will be stocking at least some channels on the 28th (( the friday before the tourny)) and am on a waiting list for bigger blues--- dunno if they'll be there by then.
