JULY 4th Tourney

i found the lake.. ;D
275 to state rt.125---rt turn on 132 left on 749..
less then 30 miles from my home...was a lot ezer to find then it looked... ;D
i got there at 9:45pm...$59 for 3 of us...it was pack..the lake had like more then 130 glow sticks on it..
got me a spot on the bait house side a little ways up from the dam.
we had 8 lines out.thats why it was $59 for us to fish.we got in all the pots too..
any way we got 5 runs 4 of them stop when we pick up the poles..
i had 1 on but didn't get a good hook up and it got off...
we didn't have good bait just small IZZY--Night Crawlers--green Night Crawlers--and some small Leeches--hill thats not to sad of bait is it??
but the izzy wore only 2"long not 1 izzy over 3"so i think bigger bait would have gotten me a fish...

I WILL GO BACK FOR SURE..next time I go with big bait..
and get there around 6pm so i can pick a spot..not just find a place to get my lines in the water like i did this time....OOOO 1 more thing I will be sure i got glow sticks...they didn't have any good ones to sell...my 1st trip to any lake stinks..i don't give up on a lake until the 5th trip...it looks good i did get some runs and had 1 on but miss hooking it on my 1st trip...so catmans may be my new home lake soon... ;D
I DID SEE A LOT OF FISH GET PULLED IN NOT 1 OF THEM UNDER 20#
so thats another reason to go back.. ;D

hey Mark try goldfish izzy heads bluegill are good but shad heads are the bomb if theres a spot in that lake thats just so so you were there its a good spot just not great its not very deep right there lucky you found a spot to get out 8 poles try to get the gazebo just down from the old dock or fish in front of the old dock always good.

Mark I am glad that you made it to the lake. I try to stay away from the busy nights. I like to hit it early in the day or late evening on a weekday. Maybe I will see you up there sometime. The owners are very nice people and the lake is a good healthy lake with plenty of big fish. Fish on Mark.

i called down yesterday and treva said u were fishin , howd u do , were gonna go tonight , about 6 of us , ill let u know how we do , we have 3 bait tanks loaded with bait , hopefully the weather isnt too bad , but a lil bit of weather wont stop me from fishin

fished 9-9 thursday night friday morning , caught 5 in all biggest was a 37lb shovel ,got em by the dam on a smallmouth head with a couple leeches , the fish were actin real funny , almost like they had sore mouth ,wouldnt really run with it , just hold it under , when i left a 45 was leadin the tourney ,only 3 fish on the board all 40s ,good luck anyone who goes
