was this meant for my lake or just fishing in general?? if the fishing is slow at my lake when i'm fishing, i grab a bait pole with 4lb test and fish for some carp. they always bite and are a blast to catch on an ultra lite rig!

When it is slow, that is prime time for learning the lake. Take a fish head and a bobber and let it fly, I mean cast until your arms are sore. This will give you the chance to learn the contour of the lake, holes and brush piles. This is how you learn the lake, so when they are on you will know where to fish.

Thats what I do when in doubt troll! Never know what you could find out there, move to a different spot and do the same if they are not biting there.
