We are having a benefit for a good friend of mine October 31. Darrel 'Duke Bowman has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, he is only 43 years old. I have known Duke now for 15 years super guy anyone would like to have as a friend. Duke has less than 2 years to live due to his illness. We are trying to help keep his bills paid until the life insurance kicks in. If I can help get one house payment to keep the mortgage company at bay and take some stress off his family that would be great. Duke's wife is working double to attempt to keep up but I am afraid it is too much for her.
Anyway we are having free fishin and a cookout Oct 31. We will have a band karaoke and several bonfires. We ask you to bring a covered dish and donate whatever you can give anything will help. I am donating all fishing tickets from now until whenever, I am gong to do what it takes for Duke not lose his families home. This will carry on to next season as well. Thanks in advance/

Thanks for the replies, I am going to set up an account at my bank for Duke soon. We have decided to make this a COSTUME PARTY!! Best costume will win a season pass for REDS next year. Jason Butler (butlersbeagle) will be the DJ for this event, Jason came out in June and put on one helluva show for us here, I may still be hungover!!! Nothing fancy just good ole boys and girls partying till dawn!! This is a rain or shine deal after the kids are finished with trick or treat take em to Granny's and treat yourself!
If you don't have friends you got nothing!!

Would like to come out sometime to try Big Reds wont be able to make it to the benefit, have to work and live 1hr 30min away. I would like to donate something whenever you get that account set up Chris. I lost my uncle this April to bone cancer, he was only 50 years old. The hardest part is the waiting. Yesterday my friend Duke actually walked in my house! Duke was given less than two yrs to live a little over a year ago, today his tumors are absent from all detection and scans. Doctors now have given 97% odds on beating the cancer! I wish to thank all for the prayers and thoughts!
