I've had alot of people tell me that you can catch more fish at this lake in the winter than you can any other time of the year. I personaly have never fished this lake before because of all the things i've heard about the high prices and jackpots but now that you can't fish for catfish at cedar in the winter anymore i was thinking about giving it a try. Any info on fishing this lake this time of year?

All you have to do is learn how to snagg and you'll have a blast. Because I was there last winter when every one said the FISHING was so great, and saw tons of fish snagged. And very very few actually caught. Hey good news though, the owner doesn't care.

Thats sad to hear Catcatcher101, but not always the case. I go out there alot this time of year and don't snag em and still catch a few. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying i burn them up. But I am usually good for 2-3 blues. FOR YOUR QUESTION CHRIS3 You have to move your bait around alot and fish on the bottom or really close to it. Only leave your poles in one spot for about 30 mins, if you don't get any action, reel them in a few feet and give it another 30 mins. If you still don't get any action, reel them in and cast a few feet over from where you had them originally. Keep doing this through out the day working yourself down the pond. Start at the bait shop end and just work your way to the other end and then back. When the blues decide to school up is when this works really good. But like i said, even if there not you can still get a couple. And don't be afraid to fish close to the banks!!!!
