EMCAST.... eliminators are way to stiff everyone i know that has used them has complained of this. if you set the hook to hard with this rod it will snap your line... the handels are way to long... they arent fun to catch fish on either you can hook a 40 lb fish with an eliminator and it will barely even bend the rod... i would go with the emcast!! =)

NEITHER !!!!
The eliminators are too stiff with too long of handle, and the emcast BREAK. If any of you have spent any time around a pay lake you have had to see some one break one. I myself broke 2, and saw at least 5 others broken this year. And from the posts on here last summer,(when there were more then a handful of people on here) You must have read the problems many many others have had. They are JUNK hands down.

They are JUNK hands down. the emcasts arent junk... they are really good rods if you know how to use a graphite surf rod and take care of them.... graphite will break easier than fiberglass,e glass or graphite composite, which are what most "catfish rods" are made of. you cant bang a solid graphite rod around and set the hook like your trying to stop a semi truck and expect it not to crack or break. so if you take care of your rods and dont set the hook like your gonna rip the fish in half... these rods are great.

emcast are kind of cheaply made rods, reliability wise i would take an eliminator over an emcast, all my other surf rods i'm not scared to bang around but i'm leary of my emcast , everybody is in love with the emcast but hands down the best rods of all time at the paylake i think are just premier nite sticks , beat them up throw them in the mud step on them it don't matter , and they're inexpensive

Night Sticks are solid, I have had one for 7 years and I fish every weekend. I do however take excellent care of my rods and reels. I dont lay my reels in mud or dirt, I lay them on a towel if there is no grass around.
