i was up there sunday and i was woundering if it mattered if you got the spot right next to the cedar tree or a couple yards down

Nope. Not that many big fish are caught out of that spot. Just a lot of small ones.

i love cedar i fished there for my first time last sunday nice lake. clean lake+deep holes+big fish= new home lake
