I was just thinking about the tourney coming up and i thought that maybe we could have a regular tourney.
then we could have a kids tourney.
then we could have a womans only tourney.
and another idea that i had was we could have an ammatuer tourney so that some of the new people to paylakeing could have a chance at winning.

for the kids tourney you could have it based on kids ages 5-13 and could give away rods,tackle, and t-shirts. and have it form 8am-3pm and the three biggest fish of the day win. and the smallest fish of the day and the most fish of the day.
1st place- new fishing rod, trophy/medal 2nd place- tackle,torphy/medal 3rd place- t-shirt,trophy/medal smallest fish- t-shirt,trophy/medal most fish-tackle,trophy/medal
please remember these are all just ideas that i have come up with in my spare time.
for the womens tourney we could give also a trophy/ medal to all the winners. biggest 3 fish win. 1st place- $100 2nd place- $50 3rd place- $25.
and the regular tourney for all the major catfisherman you could do it 7am fri-7pm sun. And give out prizes for 3 catfish and biggest carp. for the winners of the catfish tourney you could pay out $500 to first place $250 to second and third. and winner of biggest carp gets $500
you could have these during a three week period one weekend the kids then the next the womens and then the following week end the big tourney. and for the big tourney you could have a barbeque were the fisherman pay $5 to eat all they wanted.
You can modify these any way to the way you like them. just please do remember these are just some things that popped to mind.

Sounds good, I have some concerns about womens tourney. We have die hard fishermen on this board and I wouldnt put it past Bluecatjosh to put on a dress and wig to try and enter. LOL

ROFL @ bigsmooth ---- really like the "kids" tourny idea. My wife is also sittin here brainstormin about a "couples" tourny for members and their spouses/girlfriends etc. any thoughts?  and,, no,,, bluecatjosh can't be anybodys' "date" lol |

i like springwatermarks idea of including some type of "total weight" prize.....not just biggest fish.....the guy who catches 3 20lb fish has a chance to beat someone who caught 1 50lb fish......just a thought.

i like hourly because everybodys even once a aew hour begins and its easy for persons running tourney to keep track of instead of all day weight

Thats how all of the tournaments have worked, on a points system. Check the 2007 events in the archives. I like the idea of a kids tournament. Couples tournament may work better than a women's tournament as we don't have many women members. |
