the easiest way for me to keep my shad alive is ---ive got a 20 gallon rubbermaid garbage can in my trunk(gran marquis has a huge trunk) two plug in air pumps that run off a 750 watt power inverter from my battery. just have to run extension cord from hood to trunk. put holes in the lid for air hoses bungee cord the lid down couple lid fulls of shad saver and a small bag of ice and your baits good to go total cost--$10 for garbage can $20 in pumps $50 for inverter almost the same setup as the white ones at bass pro for less $$$ the want 100 and something for that theirs. used to use a couple five gallon buckets but sinse the can stands up higher i have more room in the trunk i can take 3 people plus all of our stuff(three poles a piece net two empty 5 gallon buckets cvoolers tackle boxes etc.. everything we need for the whole night. plus i know the one tourney we fished i had 75-100 pieces of bait with only a couple a casualties. plus the bait i keep in the tank at the house if i need it shad just need colder water and more room
