It was a great lake ! fished it all the time...
All Rick had to do was fix the dam so the peeps in the houses behind it could sleep in peace...........but he choose to be an A$$ to the state instead.
Did you guys know that Rick former owner of Cheatac is Cozydales brother ? I was fishing Cheatac when Ricks brother was building/filling/stocking Cozydale............fished it once when they first opened, that was enough for me.

they drained the big lake a few yr.'s ago. The only one they have now is the little lake, but there is still some nice fish in that little lake. they put all the fish from the big lake into the little lake, from what i was told anyway. What they had left in the big lake anyway, i heard they lost alot when it flooded out the house behind the big lake, on the other side of the creek.. they went down the creek is what i was told..

Tried my trap out yesterday in the creek, I put it in for an hour but nothing to show. I was just wanting to see how it sets in the water. The current was moving pretty fast but the trap held its ground, once it settled on the bottom it did not move. I think your right Jamie, too cold and too swift. It was also too muddy.

Geezer, the trap is 14" square and 28" long. I have one cone on the end. Do you think I should put another cone on the other end? And does it mater which way it sets in the water ( against the current or with the current )? Thanks for the knowledge.

ONE CONE IS ENOUGH. I PUT MINE IN ALL KINDS OF WAYS I NEVER REALLY PAYED ANY ATTENION TO THE CURRENT. I'LL HAVE TO CHECK ON THAT..JUST MAKE SURE THE WIRE INSIDE THE CONE IS FACING INTO THE TRAP SO IT DOESNT POKE THE BAIT TRING TO GET IN IT..
