I am new to the trapping thing, but I left mine set for almost 24 hours with bread in the trap, I didnt have one fish die and I still have some left. I don't belive the bread is going to swell to much more than when you put it in the water. Once the bread is in the water its about as swelled as its going to get. I had over 30 pieces of bait in one trap and didnt lose one piece.

Geezer I was pumped to see all the bait in the trap. There were suckers, chubs white bass, large mouth, pumpkin seeds, green sunfish,. it was awesome. I cant wait to get the traps out again. I stopped and picked up two 35 gallon plastic barrels yesterday that I will be converting into bait tanks. We are turning my buddies garage into a bait shop. so far we have a 35 gallon aquarium, two 10 gallon igloo coolers, three 35 gallon tubs , and two 35 gallon barrels. The garage is seperated form the house and is air conditioned so we don't have to worry about the heat in the summer. I will have all the bait that I need, all I need now is a little luck. LOL
