Some if not all braided line floats on top of the water and causes it to drift. Not that good of stuff if it floats.

Some if not all braided line floats on top of the water and causes it to drift. Not that good of stuff if it floats. That is a major factor in choosing line for me. I tried cajun red one time, and then took it off. The stuff wouldn't sink. I hate braided line because of it. Big Game has always worked great for me. Its strong, ties good knots and sinks right now.

most of your paylakes wont take any fish that has been caught on braided line do to it not rotting out if the fish swallows the hook, and it will cut the fish's skin and all if you get a line run. Most of your paylakes have it on there tickets, no braided line aloud.

yes if wraps around the fish it can cut into them. then it could kill the fish. and it is true almost all paylakes permit no braided line. some lakes will bann you for using it

I WAS GOING TO GET POWER PRO LINE WENT TO THERE WEB PAGE AND THIS IS WHAT I FOUND..... Spectra has a specific gravity of 0.98 g/cc – just a hair lighter than water. Unlike heavier nylon and Dacron lines that sink, PowerPro will tend to stay at the surface. This means that you’ll get faster control of your fish after a strike – less belly in the line. THE STUFF FLOATS

Use Black Widow or Sufix line.
It is easy to get the memory out of your line. Use your hook and hook it to your bumper of your car/truck and walk out about 100 feet and the pull toward you. Do not pull hard enough to stretch your line. You will see a difference in the line after doing this.

When spooling new line (mono), use a warm washcloth/rag. run the line through this while applying little presure and it will remove the oil residue and will let it sink on your first cast.
