there is a sheet on the hamilton county parks website on exactly when they will be stocking! and they do not have them stocking it until may or june with blues or shovels! and if im not mistaken they were trying to do away with the monsters and cater to familys with moderate sized fish!

That would be nice if they did. Its a decent sized lake, but i have spent a lot of money there with very little to no payoff.

I used to fish there all the time. Not anymore. I am good friends with a few of the guys that still work there. All the old workers are now gone, which is a shame. They are trying to make it a kids/family friendly lake, which is a great idea I think. They do put 1000 pounds of big fish in a year, but nothing big, and its not a great fishery for big fish. It is meant as a catch a take lake, they put in tons of trout and channels each year. When I started fishing there about 18 years ago they used to have tons of big fish, they have since gone, they started to let people keep 1 fish over 15 lbs (used to be all fish over 15 lbs stayed in the lake) I watched guys keeping 50's and up, disgusted by it. They have since changed it, but they lost a lot of fish that way.
