We fished Lucky K, in Augusta Kentucky, Saturday morning. We caught 11 channel cats, which should make for a nice a fish fry this upcoming weekend. I caught a 7lb shovel head and missed another nice run on a big live bluegill. Can anyone answer me why you get your best bites when your half around the lake getting more bait from your fishing partners? The owners are great people and this is a new lake, so I would encourage everyone to give it a try. He stocks, from his own nets, the lake from the Ohio River, for big bounty style catfish. Yesterday, we witnessed them stocking another 10 blues and shovel heads, ranging from 10lbs to 36lbs. They also stock weekly with channels cats. The lake is probable 2 to 3 acres and over 20 feet deep in spots, so it can be challenging to fish. I know they take good care of it and are constantly stocking fish in it. They have several jackpot jars, but the money is just now starting to build. I know the 50lb and over jar is a split the pot that would pay about $550 right now. I think they allow night fishing now, but only on Saturday nights. It's a $12 dollar ticket for the channels cats or a $16 ticket to get you into the jars. Good luck to anyone that decides to give it a try.

The past 2 years he has put some really nice shovels and blues in. Looking forward to hooking into one of them here soon.
