Friend and I were planning a trip to Paradise 2 but I went to Bengals training camp in the afternoon and decided it was too late to get up there. We decided to hit up our local lake (Julie Ann), and we fished the 7 to 11 tournament. Got there around 5:30 p.m. to get our spot, and didn't get any action on our big poles all night. We were using leeches, live bluegill, goldfish, bluegill heads, etc. Nothing! I eventually resorted to using "stink bait" on my bass rod to at least catch something. Managed 3 channel cats, biggest 6 lbs. We left at 10:30 p.m. and the person winning the tournament had a 19 lb. carp. We just can't seem to figure this lake out this year. Thought I would share.

look can anyone tell me please why there aint anyone catching anything out of julieann is it because of all the bait fish in the lake or is it because they are still spawning cause i have tried pumkinseed , warmouth, blugill, chubs i caught a 24# about two weeks ago and won the tournament on a warmouth about 5 feet out from the dam and was there last week did the same thing and didnt even get a bite there wasnt anyone catching anything but carp thats how the lake has been this year they will bite for about ten minutes then quit i dont get it

Yea I know exactly what you mean. I've fished Julie Ann about 4 times this year and the best fish I've caught is a 7 lb. shovelhead. Now I'm not sure about this, but it just seems that they havn't stocked the lake this year. Last year I did so well here at Julie Ann, some days catching around 10 fish a trip. Just can't figure this lake out this year.
