I need everyone's opinion. I am planning a trip here in the middle of April with my cousin. He is new at catfishing and his biggest cat is 20lbs. I normally take an array of bait where ever I go, but I want to be prepared for this trip especially. Do they prefer smaller baits or bigger baits? I've got a pond full of 8-10 inch warmouths....think they will work?

I think you may hook into some nice blues or shovels with the heads of those warmouths. We have had some good luck with warmouths in general. Oh,if you have a bunch bring extra we may buy some off you (alsept1 and myself). Goldfish work well also. Maybe for this time of year trout is good bait too. You know cats - about anything works !

you cant really say wich is best ..but at this lake when they are hitting a bait they will only hit one thing..ive caught 10 fish out of a hole on warmouths and try to throw a chub in there and they wont touch it or the other way around
