catfish are hitting on everything

i have a friend who owns a bait shop this is what he told me
Catfish are hitting on anything, we think thier heading for an early spawning season-two months early. I hear bluegill is a good bait

i agree me and my step dad hit 3 diff. lakes 2 wk.ends ago we caught i think about 28 channels and he got a 29.10 at monroe in the the field pond as i call it.. we got 9 channels there and like 8 or 10 at forest in springfield and about 18 at rainbow in fairborn.. most of them was on little bluegills
