i fished it a few years back.didnt really do any good but it is ran by a good grouo of people

The shelters are three sided and keep you out of the bad weather.

I NEVER FISHED THIS LAKE BE FOR, I CALLED THE OWNER AND TALKED TO HIM FOR A WHILE
HE IS A REALLY NICE GUY. AND HE SAID HE WOULD SHOW ME WHERE THE HOLES WAS, AND
HOW DEEP IT IS THERE. GOING TO HAVE TO MAKE A TRIP THERE.

it seems like there is only a couple places in this lake where the fish really bite. if your not in them you aren't going to catch much. it is a really nice and clean lake though, also about 25' deep on one side.

I fish Castaway Regulary. Nice Lake One of if not best selction on tacke and equipment with best prices around. I have caught a few but my Buddy got a 57 blue Monday motning and there have been several other 40's and 50's caught.
I would recomend this lake to anyone.

I have only fished it once but it is a great lake very clean water is right a bank level so its easy to net the fish, we caught about 7 fish the biggest was about 28 pounds but a friend of ours has caught many in the 30 and 40 pound range

From the looks out at the lake. The Shovelheads are starting to hit. The fishjing league will starting in 2 weeks on 5/15 if interested contact lake and sign up

WENT FISHING 5/12 07 AT CASTAWAY LAKES REALLY CLEAN LAKE WATER CLEAR. THAT WAS THE FIRST TIME THERE. CAUGHT FOUR SMALL FISH, SEEN A 40# AND 56# CAUGHT AND A LOT
IN THE 15# RANGE. WILL GO BACK TO FISH IT AGAIN.
