went to the ohio river in new richmond a couple of nights ago cant remember the name of the road that we parked on but the hole we found was a walk and a half to get to. it wasnt a bad river bank fishing trip but wish i toke the camera now because my buddy slammed about 8 30 to 40 lbers and 6 50's, i caught about 4 20's and 2 30's and 3 50 over and a 68lber. all shovels and caught on huge blue gill and shad live and dead. i think he caught a few using white mice i caught A 50 on a white mouse and the 68 was caught with a 7inch crappie, my buddy said that there are many many holes in the new richmond area just gotta know how and when to fish them, but i rather stick to my paylakin BS!!!!!!!!! theres the BS flag!!!!!!! i cant imagine im the only one saying this......you all crack me up Im with bluecatjosh b.s. !!! but he would rather stick to paylakin?? |

altime I would be interested in financing a trip, pay you for your guide experience on the Ohio I have a 22 ft boat just say the word! If you can catch fish like that on the Ohio I got to see it. I have fished the Ohio from bank and shore and never have done anything like that. One night like that I would close my paylakes down for good so as not to mis a night of fishing like that.

I wouldnt say that it is impossible to do at all. I kno guys that have done well bank fishing the ohio. just got to be at the right place at the right time. He must have done so. I have never heard that many big ones but I would still have to say its possible. I have seen pics. I have went out with buddies and fished the river up north here and we have hit a dozen easy on a night from around ten to fifteen to around forty pounds. I have went and not even gotten a channel to bite.

that was my first trip pulling any big ones out of the ohio, normally when i go i hit mabe 4 or 5 fish anywhere from 10 to 15lbs. i got lucky on that day. i had a blast tho im wishing to do that again. i went to the barge today for a few hours and only got 2 baby shovels mabe 5lbs if that, and a bass, using just shad, my buddy had problems seting his hook but had many runs just thinking mabe they were to little or jus hitting them to soon dunno. i myself dont do alot of river fishing because of many trips without anything to be caught and only been out there a couple of times on a boat. but if ya want ill be happy to go with ya some time just to go but i can never promise anything and i need to see about my work schedule. thats if you wanna go. I myself dont know a whole lot about it and never fish the same spot twice other than the barge thats just because i know a lil bit about that spot and the best time to fish it is at night,but i would like for people not to say that it is b-s what im saying because i was happy about that trip but even some of my family dont believe me because we have wasted alot of time fishing the ohio. I just got lucky what else can i say. Ive been to cp1 when this guy fishing next to me pull 4 50's out within 3 hrs and i didnt catch anything all night, although that was a year ago and its a paylake not the river but its fishing.

Jesse your still full of nuts........no way you got lucky.You dont catch those fish and not have pics to back em up............If ypu didnt have a camera then one of you would have gone to get one.

Isnt this pose to be a positive site and people helping other people out cuz we all have that same feen for fishing and mostly for big cats? I believe the guy jesse, it could happen. And everyone knows when your not prepared for the big ones thats when it happens and it sucks cuz you have no way to prove to anyone of what you caught or what you have done. Honestly I think people just get jeallous cuz somebody got a good night in on the river or where ever it may be. I have been places and seen everyone around me catch fish and I have caught nothing. I have been places and been the only guy catching fish. Thats like for example geezer has paylaked for how long and finally hit somethin over 50lbs or whatever. Sometimes its experience others its all about being at the right place at the right time
