OK, carp count negative in my book. We usually keep a 'score' while fishing and possibly wager money or beer.
Scoring structure:
Channel = 1pt
Blue/Shovel 10lb+ = 2pts (a large channel might net you 2pts)
Blue/Shovel 20lb+ = 3pts
Blue/Shovel 40lb+ = 5pts
Carp = negative 2pts

carp fishing is fun i caught a 23 pounder and it was the best fight i have ever had

I don't mind catching carp, if I am fishing for carp. I don't want to be catching carp when I am fishing for other fish. They do fight pretty well, but there are plenty of fish that put up much better fights.
