Last year at Cedar Lakes tournament they aloud carp to be part of the tourny. There were a lot of people how came there to catch carp, not sure if anybody was able to get money doing it.

personally me i dont think carp should be aloud into a tourny, carp ae like bluegill you can catch them all day long, if u hit there hole

I though the same way as you did before the tournament. But after words it didn't seem to mater. The only carp that I've seen pulled out of that lake that had any size to it was the one i fall hooked. It took the cork down so i set the hook. It was one of those buffalo carp, man was it ugly, it had to way almost 30lbs.

anyone use a bead on there hook for carp i do, if im fishing for carp. i take a hook suitable for carp and take a craft bead and slide it over hook then i heat it up and melt a part of it to where the whole bead is stuck to shank of hook, so when your dough ball or pack bait starts disolving off and the carp are sucking the bait up the will suck that bead and hook themselves. and it works like a charm

also a corn pop works well in the middle of your pac.

the biggest carp i ever got was 40''.how many pounds?i have no ideal.gave it to a man for 2 cases of bud.i ask him if he was going to eat it.he said "no but after he got done at his gail frands he was going to tell his wife to look at the fish he got...slick old man ant he ??

i was reading catfish stuff and ran accross this.. a 5yr old grass carp is over 30"long carp grow faster then catfish.. carp need less air in the water them catfish and EZer to care for... lake monroe has big money carp tournaments and pay out for the biggest carp of the week.. there are a lot of lakes filled with carp bacouse no one fishes for carp...someone told me carp only cost $0.50 a pound to stock in a lake catfish are $2.50 a pound
