butler was my home lake until it went under new managment and stoped stocking as much.when larry ( the old manager ) was there i would catch 20-30 fish a night ranging from 15-40 pounds now alot of them died and there are a bunch of dinks. although i did catch my personal best out of this lake a 40.7# shovel. but since they went under new managment i started fishing cedar and have had a blast.

I don't think its am much as there is new management, the owner fired everyone and is running it himself. He has owned it for about 12 years now if I am correct.
of course please correct me if I am wrong.
I agree alot of dinks (money fish). If you know the holes, the few there are, it can be ok at times. This past year '07 pretty much sucked there when i as there and others I talked with.

I fished butler almost every weekend back in the day .... When larry ran it it was a blast to go to... and you would catch 15-20-25 fish a night ... Tim took over, and yes he is the owner and is a complete d***.. If you want to have all your stuff searched and be treated like a little kid go there..... He wouldnt let my girlfriend and 5 yr old in to watch me and some friends catch some fish even if I bought them a ticket, so I packed up and left, never been back...

He's like the yankees, love him or hate him. I think I went 2-3 times last year and I use to go all the time as well.

butler is a shallow lake we had no rain last year so the lake did not get flushed and the same water sat there all year which turned the fish off they ate but not as often the fish did not die off and there not in the holes like everyone thinks most of the big fish caught last year was on the flats where noone fishes everyone wants a hole
