i cant stand this wait ... when does john and treva open the lake i forget -.- , not soon enuff for me obviously

They won't open until late March or early April. I will give thme a call the closer we get to March and post it out here for everyone. I can't wait. This is killing me. I plan on hitting Cedar in mid Jan, with some 5 - 6 inch live rainbows for bait. I don't know much about the lake but I plan on learning. I took soem to John and Treva's early last year and they were crushed with in minutes.

where are you getting trout that small at?? Would like to try and keep some alive till spring in my watering troth that i use for a bait tank in my garage.. I got a really good pump i got from a friend of mine that will with not a prob.. keep the water moving and cool, being on the garage floor..

Over here in KY they start putting them in the lakes around this time of year, but because of the work they are doing on the wolf creek dam in cumbeland the trout hatchery is having to stockk them smaller than they have in the past. The are normaly around 11- 14 inches, but now you can find them as small as 5 inches. I kept a few of them alive in my fish pond in my back yard, they lasted about 6 weeks. Just keep the water moving and throw bags of ice in the water.

They are open right now but if you talking about time wise i think 8 am but i could be wrong so call them at 575-0124 and ask.
