I have been fishing on and off at Hickory Grove ever since the lake opened, when Rob stocked it himself with fish he caught out of the river. Its like 20 minutes from my house. I'm not bad mouthing the lake. I'm warning people who are thinking of traveling several miles to fish it. I know I'd be upset if i drove like an hour or 2 and had to put up with some of what goes on around that place, its why I said fish during the week if possible. In fact a neighbor of mine used to fish there every weekend, until Rob got upset because the guy wouldnt let Rob flirt and make passes at his fiance, so Rob and his friends got drunk one night, got the guy in the baithouse, locked the door and pretty much kicked the crap out of him...then told him to never come back to the lake. Yeah, thats a true story so go on thinking what you will but dont run me down because I try to warn someone. Its not just me either, I can think of a half dozen people off the top of my head who refuse to fish Hickory just because of how its ran and because of what goes on there.

Not every lake is for everyfisherman. We all have a personality and not everyone gets along. If anyone wants to flirt with my girl it will cost em admission to the lake! LOL Some dont like my lake, doesnt make it a bad lake, my lake isnt for everyone. That is why there is more than one lake to chose from. It doesnt make since to me to post negative things about a lake. If you dont like it go to one of the many other options provided to you. Most people dont see the whole picture on paylakes. It is not just a hole in the ground filled with water what it is, is a huge expense. To make everyone happy I would need roughly 100 million dollars. Then the booze comes in to play. Egos, pretty women. The list is endless, so lets get along and catch some fish!!! Just a few thought from a Hillbilly!!!

Well boys personally I dont care what goes on no matter where I go as long as I'm catchin fish I will be happy and I have had some bad experiences on a few lakes that doesnt mean they are bad lakes. like they said not every lake is for everybody and as far as them making passes at my old lady..... somebody has to make her day. if she doesnt like it she will tell ya she is a country girl and she aint shy
