If you fish during the week its not a bad place to fish. If you go Friday through Sunday, unless somethings changed, be prepared to be around alot of guys drinking and smoking pot
and Rob (the owner) doesnt seem to mind. It is a nice like but he needs to get ahold on what goes on around it

i like to have fun at the lake while im there to... but i try to make sure it bothers anybody else i always ask people by me if it would bother them to make sure first...

yea i dont do that stuff when there is a lake with younger kids fishing. some lakes dont mind but i think its just certain people that fish that really care about the drinking or smokin or watever. stuff like that dont really bother me unless you dont know how to control the drinking or smoking that people do

It is a nice like but he needs to get ahold on what goes on around it I have fished there quite a few times (Saturdays) and I have NEVER seen any of this activity going on. Comments like this could easily damage a lakes reputation. Rob is a great guy and pretty much lets you fish how and where you want instead of trying to enforce a bunch of stupid rules which at some lakes have run me away from them. I like to fish and relax and this is what I get when I fish at Hickory. Every now and then you get some people that don't fish how we would like them to and I'm sure if Rob new of this activity he would put a stop to it. You need to be careful what you post on here because the whole world is reading it. |

Well said Randy. I am sure the smoking and the drinking happens at everylake, its just the nature of the beast. As long as me and my boys are not disturbed by it, then to each there own. Live and let live.

THANK YOU GUYS.... THAT IS SO TRUE, ONE NEGATIVE COMMENT REGARDING ONE BAD EXPERIENCE BY ONE INDIVIDUAL CAN HAVE AN ENORMOUS IMPACT ON SOMEONES BUSINESS ESPECIALLY WHEN IT IS READ BY HUNDREDS ON THIS SITE. THIS IS TRUE IN ANY BUSINESS!!
EVERYONE IS ENTITLED TO HIS OPINION , BUT I BELIEVE THE LAKE SHOULD HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO ADRESS THE ISSUE BEFORE IT IS BLASTED ACROSS THE WEB!!!
EVERY LAKE IS NOT FOR EVERY FISHERMAN!!!! WHEN U DEAL W/ THOUSANDS OF CUSTOMERS EACH YEAR, YOU ARE BOUND TO HAVE SOME ISSUES.... NO MATTER WHAT BUSINESS YOUR IN!!
SO I WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU ALL, ESPECIALLY RANDY, FOR THINKING RATIONALLY AND BEING REASONABLE. IVE ONLY MET ROB IN PASSING AND IVE NEVER BEEN TO HIS LAKE BUT IM SURE HE WOULD THANK YOU AS WELL!!! GOOD JOB GUYS

I have had the unfortunate pleasure of a few idiots using bad language, loud music, glaring lanterns, etc. I belive any lake owner will stop these activities if they are notified (at least they did for me). I simply called the lake office from my fishing spot using my cell phone and the owners came out and stopped the B--- S--- immediately.
