Hey all i have no idea where to start with catfishing. If you guys could offer me some good tips on gear, or have some deals i could get on some stuff you guys might want to get rid of.

Well baitermaster the best thing i can suggest is an abu garcia 6500c3 reel they are about 80.00 at walmart 90.00 at bass pro and go with 20 or 30 pound berkley big game line now rods are all in what you wanna spend.You can get an eagle claw 13 footer for 30.00 economical and work ok but not the greatest or a 10ft berkley glowstick for about 40.00 i like them alot or go for the good stuff with a emcast, an 11ft will run you in the seventies but from what i hear they are well worth it. Truthfully you could spend 1000.00 on your gear and if you aint got the right bait or proper presentation the guy with a 20.00 walmart special could catch more than you.

go get a couple chrome rockets and 12ft st croix. rods with black widow or excell 30 lb line .... and bring your credit card...
