Readin through the forums i don't see anyone that says they use the Cajun Red. I was just wondering if anyone else uses it because i've used it for along time now and its really tough, cast good, and will not kill your wallet

does this line sink, I was thinking about buying it, I have been using berkley big cat (bright green) so far this year and it still does something different every time I go out, sometimes it sinks sometimes it floats and I have not been real happy with it, a friend of mine uses big game and likes it and my brother in law that I fish with all the time uses spider wire, it's strong but I don't like it b/c it floats, has anyone used the cajun red 30 lb? I may get some big game and try it but i am anxious to see more comments about this cajun red

Up until this year I have used nothing but Berkley and Berkley family lines. I used to use nothing but braided lines (Spiderwire and FireLine) but since you are not allowed to use them at paylakes I had to switch. I have been using BPS Excel though, and its worked out pretty well.

a guy i work w/ and used to fish with all the time all he uses is 30lb cajun red and works really well for him , yes it sinks well for me , i just don't use big game no more cuz it just doesn't have the abrasion resistence red does to me, but cajun does get memory easily sometimes, but i'd rather have a lil memory in my line than worry bout touhgness, for the price i can't find a tougher line

Red cajun is a awsome line but in my experience only the lighter line for maybe bass crappie walleye stuff like that. I used 12lb and its tough line but for a good paylaking line 25lb plus I cant say anything much good about it besides it worked good the first few times but broke off with it too many times casting and on big cats. I will stick with my Hi seas quatro.

thats odd cuz i have had the complete opposite affect with it, the lighter line i didn't like but the 20, 25, 30, is the only stuff i'll buy anymore, don't know it is cheaper line so who knows??

Maybe there is a big difference between the lines. If you look on the spool some is for casting some is for stretch or somethin like that maybe some are a lot better than others. Not sure man maybe a lot has to do with the rig you have and all the tackle. Some guys use stuff I never would but they found somethin that works for them. I wouldnt use anything but stren or red cajun lighter line for my pan fishing. But I use light tackle and really flimsy rods.
