Yes, paint creek is an awesome crappie lake, caught a lot out of there. There are some lunker cats in there also, have not fished for them there though. I was in a boat every time i went.

yeah ive fished it alot. mostly in the spillway,pulled some decent shovels out of there nothin over 25 pounds tho. alot of saugeye and crappie tho. and a really good place to net alot of shad.

early mid spring the crappie will be stacked on structure such as boat docks, fallen timber, brush on the bank. Need a small jon boat or canoe for the backs of creeks and shallow coves. They will also hold to the rip rap banks. Bass follow all the basics listed above
