Alsept1, funny you should ask. I was getting ready to ask you about fishing Cedar. When fishing for trout. I like to throw out a little bit of everything. I will start by chuming them in with a couple small handfuls of corn, not to much. I will then throw out some powerbait on the bottom and some on a bobber. My preference is white and orange. I catch most of mine on small minnows with a slip bobber. There is a lake over here that just put in about 2000 pounds. The lake is about 9 acres so you odds are pretty good. The best thing about the trout in Ky this time of the year is that the Cumbeland reserves is the hatchery for them and they have to release them before they get as big as they would like. So instead of catching 12-14 inch trout, you can get them right about 6-9 inches. They are great live bait, If you do go out for them. Use slip bobbers and nothing bigger than a no.6 hook. I like using 10s they are perfect for the trout, try to cover the hook as much as possible. When trying to keep them alive use cold water and then put about 10 pounds of ice on them with plenty of air. I was able to keep them alive for about 7 days in a 5 gallon bucket. Where do you plan on fishing and when. Maybe I can bring some for both of us.

I will keep an eye out on the board. Let me know when, and I will try to meet you over there. Have you ever used live trout? I will try to bring some with me. I will have shad, crappie and blue gill as well. Just say when. Help me learn the lake, i will hook you up with a bunch of trout. Live or dead. If you can make it across the river, there is a lake right across the bridge that is stocked every Jan. I know the lake and know where to fish and how to fish it. Say when I will meet you there. The limit is 7 per day.

Yes Sir, I havent fished it yet. But I know they put 2000 in on 10/30. The lake I am refering to in in Covington/Ludlow. The only thing is they patrol it pretty heavy for limits, licence and trout stamps. I wathced a couple guys last year lose there gear, they would have just got ticket but they were mouthy with the man and you have to repect the law or you pay and they paid dearly. Are you from alexandria?
