when i troll, i just reel my line in kinda slow. usually a half a handle turn at a time. this gives your bait a bouncing motion. most of what i troll with is dead, curled chub, chub head, leeches and crawlers. i will troll small mullets or small warmouth live. hope this helps some!

I catch more fish trolling than any other way... Usually with dead bait of some kind.. Just throw out let it sit for a min reel back in a few feet let it sit and so on and so on... Troll slow... if their not hittn with your bobber just sittn out there usually means its time to troll

trolling is a good way to trying and find where they are sitting at also.

Bounce,, Bounce, Reel. If I am trolling around structure like a dock, I will use live bait preferably bluegill. If I am trolling deep water in the lake I will use head with Leech or night crawler and leech.

I think trolling works all the time.... If your not catching just sittn then troll..... You will usually catch something.... I guess it just depends where the fish are... sometimes I troll deep sometimes shallow... If you see a bunch of fish rolln then troll shallow.... Just play with the depth. either start deep then get shallower or start shallow and get deep... It takes alot of effort sometimes, but it pays off ....

dont troll the bottom if there are snags..(air lines, rockpiles ect)go about 6 inches off bottom

and you're more likely to snag the fish also and that will just kill them off
