What's the deal with the new Zing bobbers? I've been using them for a few years, and just picked up a couple new ones. I always use the 10" bobbers. I took my same setup, same straw, same size beads, same sinker, as I've been using for a while now, and put on the new bobber. With a medium shad head, all that will poke out of the water is my glow stick... With the old ones, I had about 3" of bobber sticking out. So now I have a 1/2 oz sinker and it sticks up about 2", and I simply can't put a decent sized bait on, or all I'll see is a straw float. Has anyone else noticed this? I guess my only option is to go up to 12" or use a different brand. Or maybe I just got a defective bobber? Let me know what you guys think.
FWIW-I like the new *triangle* type shape that they made on the top. So now your glowstick kind of stays in one of those little channels. Not a big deal, but I liked it...

yeah i notice that when i saw a guy useing them a couple wks. ago. He used the 12" but could only use a 3/4 oz weight. i use the 10 and 12's and use 1 oz on the 10 and 1 1/2 on the 12 in. and that works great (old ones) but i think they just added just a little bit more weight to the bottom of the float. so maybe you might have to try another style or use the 12". I use the thill's as well, and i jsut picked up a couple of the cat stalker's gonna give them a try.

I have been using Zings for a few years and I had a problem with them sinking early on this year also, they kept spliting and cracking. I think maybe a bad batch, I bought a couple more and they seem to be working fine I use 10s with an ounce of weight.
