gee come down I 71 and turn east on I 275 get off at Millford thats sr 28...go north theres a by pass 28 you can use it ends at Kroger food store keep going north..look for a auto repair shop a ways up 28 on the left side thats Smith rd it runs off the left side only... hope this helps...
ps if i was you i would fish at fatcats up there.... i only live 10 miles from cedar lake and tried it like 5 times.. did not get 1 bite even after reading all the post on the lake and fishing where and how all said too..if you go i hope you get the BIG FISH your looking for....best of luck to you.... i like the lake and the bait shop there..but i want to get some fish. I think WIND MILL is a better lake and thats no joke...

as you are going east on Rt 28 you will pass Home Depot & Meijer on the left...keep going...will go through a very small town...keep going....pass Auto Zone & Advance Auto Parts on the left....look for a small donut shop on the right - then Smith Rd will be on the left (easy to miss).....I think there is a small Cedar Lake sign on the left at Smith Rd.....good luck....there are some big fish there, but you may have to wait until they wake up and bite.

I'm not trying to bash anyones lake but some of these posts are just ridiculous.

i know it would not be long before some one said some thing like that.. but i can get fish any where i go but cedar all those big fish and i can't get a bite it really stinks.... if i drive from Columbus to get BIG FISH I would try HICKORY GROVE or maybe CAST AWAY ;D CatmanBlues

Putting cast away in the same sentence as Hickory is not only a joke, but shows why you can't catch fish at cedar. Cast away is for families who want to catch channel cats.

I am a rookie paylaker this year for shovels and blues....it seems to me that the weather, person's fishing skills, knowledge of a specific lake, type of bait, and plain old luck affect success at any given lake on any given day. I have seen people get skunked at cedar and I have seen people catch big fish at cedar.....I think that is part of big cat fishing...I have been to about 7 different paylakes so far this year and can say the same applies to most lakes.....even beginners luck plays a part as I have caught several nice blue cats at Castaway with the biggest being 46#, and it sure was not due to my fishing skills, it is just a very good lake.......for anybody that goes to paylakes and catches fish all the time I only ask one thing....may I please go with you!!......thoughts from a rookie.

just because I have no luck at CEDAR don't mean that it is not a GREAT lake...i am just not at all lucky there....all lakes get a little negative feed back..i didn't say crap for kicks...
IF I CAN HELP SOME ONE FIND A LAKE I WILL.. thats a big part of being a good sportsman...
IF YOU LOOKING FOR CEDAR LAKE FROM 275 GO OUT SR28 AWAYS... LOOK FOR A AUTO REPAIR PLACE ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ROAD..SMITH RD IS THERE...IT IS EZ TO MISS THIS TURN...........
