7-6-08 bite was terrible friday. nothin really big besides
channels. Saturday night ( after midnight) things
really turned on. many shovels in the 30's. a few blues
AND some big channles in the 11 to 20 lb range.
sunday was good also after the sun went down-
36 blue caught & catdaddyberg got a couple of
nice shovels.
** 40 & over pot is now at $490.00----- and we
payout 100%. no split.

TUESDAY--- bite was pretty good---- no "GEEZER" sized fish, but everyone was catching
fish.
*** fall fishing league is now forming. will be held on sinday evenings from 6pm to 10pm.
starting august 3rd.

2 man teams, $8 ticket, plus $12 entry ( for prize money ) per person per week.
will run for 8 weeks

Sounds good man. I will see what I can do and see if I can come up with the funds to justify the drive every week. Guess I would have to find me a committed partner as well too. Thanks for the info! Are you stocking big shovels again this week?

lookin 4 another load of shovels now.
as for the league--- we do allow "subs". as long as ONE of the original team members
is there, the other can be subbed for.
was out there last night gettin all the darn trash out of some of the fire rings ((sigh))
and saw that big a$$ blue rolling around again

Yeah no kidding I have seen him roll about everytime I have been out there. Just need to find out whats on his mind to eat, Prolly just comming up and feeding on the shad spawn from this year.

Well you know the lod saying you can wish in one havd and sh*t in the other and see what one fills up first. But hey who knows It may just be your lucky day that day. I need to stop out there with some more veriety of bait usually just have warmouth

need to try useing either bluegill head with a leach or night crawler, that is what i have been getting alot of my blues on, well i got that 47lb shovel on a nightcrawler (5 on the hook) i loaded the hook down with them. i use a dozen of them on 2 fish i caught last sunday. put leechs should be the trick right now.

Hey thanks man. I had a run the other night on a gill head and Im almost certain that it was a blue, sent my clicker screaming but I wasnt there at the time and my buddy was daydreaming and didnt even try settnig hook. I have heard guys are doing well on leeches, I have never had any luck one them esp after the water temp rises above id say 50 60, just guessing. A guy was hitting them well at p2 on them. I will have to give it a try at springwater. That is if mark ever gets lucky enough to get a batch of blues,lol Got to wait till next year now.
Hey mark have you thought about getting a order of dinker shovels? Weird I kno but it may help out with all that bait fish. Just a thought me and katdaddyberg was talking about that tonight. Not trying to tell you how to stock just a thought.
