my vacation is is in 1 week 2 days I might go on a wednesday or thursday and have mixed feelings about where to go cfp2 is not as far as cfp1 from me but I have not had a good year catching shovels I have a family now and not much time to fish so when I go I want to make the best of it and which lake at what paradise is the best to fish at I plan on taken my 4 year old boy and I got him in fishing and know he would love to see me catch a big cat he has only seen pictures of some of the big cats in my life a 40lb shovel meing the biggest so far I will be greatful for any and all responses and good fishing to all

james sold cp1 so i dont know if it is the lake it used to be i only fish cp2 and the fishing is great theere this year

cant go wrong either place , i have never fished cp2 , but have heard alot about it. I fish cp1 it is only an hour from me and i still liek it real well been catching ALOT of fish there lately and there is no crowds during the week.

i made my first trip to cp 1 today - i didn't get there till 11 am and only stayed till 3:30 and didn't catch any just a couple bumps - but i did see acouple 15 - 18 pounders caught and 4 or 5 in ten pound range - looks like they are doing a lot of work there new wood on dock and upper deck building - a bunch of sheds on side by highway - putting in culverts - remodeling store and looks like they've put down a bunch of new gravel - looking forward to going back soon
