i just got about a 100$ 9ft open face cat maxx i have never casted anything that big nicer in my life any eles just cat maxes?

I have 6 Cat Maxx rods. I did not like the reels that much. The rods are great though, love them to death. I use Abu 6500 Trophy Series reels. $100 is a great price though on the reel and rod. I saw a bunch of the combos up there the other day.

luv my 11ft cat max , i am going to have surf rod handles put on them , the factory put to short a handle on them for me

there good rods ive used them and never had any problems with them. i know some guys have had problems with the eyelets poping out but ive never had any problem with that happening.

A ot of times when the eyelets pop out is due to their ties get caught up and pop them out when you cast. I have had the same problem. chnged to ties I use and no more problems with the eyes

the only thing that sucks by cat maxx is there hooks dont bother with them
