I know we all fish all year and can't wait for fishing after a cold harsh winter!!! But it seems to me that the best fishing comes for me in late September and October, we fish through the cold spring and the devastating heat. We fish when we know the cats are nesting knowing we may never get a bite!!
In comes hunting season and we all put our gear aside and rotate to bows and crossbows. Treestands are placed after countless hours of scouting and contemplating the great whitetail.
Did you get your trophy catfish this year?
Is there common boundry this time of year to share time between the great catfish and the elusive whitetaill deer?
Please discuss ( this should be good lol)

I just like both - fishing & deer hunting. Both provide a challenge, experience in the outdoors, great time with family and / or friends. One thing most folks have in common is the lack of time, trying to juggle both fishing & hunting during the fall can be difficult. This year, especially in the heat of October, I am going to try a "Cast & Blast"........archery hunt in the cooler morning and then catfish fish later in the evening. But once Nov. hits it is all deer hunting during the rut - can't miss prime time!!

Come October its time for me to get my dogs conditioned for a hard 4 months of getting ran. Then they get 8 months off. I fish maybe once in October because of this and for scouting out the mighty tirty point buck.LoL. But if you get that boat out for some river blue fishing then Im in. Im going to start training a beagle to scuba dive this year and hook my fish for me.
