have not, but would like to...I think it would be a great thing to do during the Feb / March "dead time" for me. not sure where to go.....these guys on the Outdoor Channel have access to 1000's acres so they can set-up at different spots throughout the day?

What do you use for bait ive tried dead calves and road kill deer and have never had one eat any of it used a trail cam and the possums get it at night and buzzards in the daytime. the onlt time i was sucessfull was when i tied a roster to a tree and came back 3 days later and used a chicken in distress call he liked to run over me killed him at the end of a 21in barrell shot gun almost fell on top of me scared the sh-t out me just a little to close for comfort.

you can use anything dead, in the winter you can make a frozen bait cube , takes guts, scraps, or whatever dead or bloody, scraps from a butcher , gut piles from deer, and put them in a five gallon bucket bout half full fill the rest 3/4 with water let freeze then knock it loose as long as it stays cold you've got pretty much a gut block they can't run off with, i've used dead ground hogs for some reason around here those dead groundhogs don't last 1-2 days and they're gone, i mash the groundhogs heads in a litte get some blood and juices out

Really guys, the best way to hunt coyotes is not over bait. The best way is to call them in. I use a mouth blown rabbit squealer, but there are electronic callers that work very well. Use a light with a red lens and call them at night. If I'm in wide open areas, I use a .308 for long shots. (up to 300 yards) But if I'm in brushy areas I use either a .22 or a 12 gauge with turkey loads. Me and Adam (my son) killed this one last night behind our house.
