I catch flatheads all winter long up at Deer Creek in the spillway. The water tends to be a littler warmer in the spillway, so I can catch them up by the dam. Small bait is what I catch them on...little bass minnows on a jig. I catch saugeye and white bass on them, but always seem to hook into channels and flatheads on them.

i think that paylaking is the best from now till the end of october last year about this time i caught 15 fish at cozy a few times and the other guy that was with me did just as good we couldn't keep our poles in the water i missed a lot them nights also i know its hard to believe that you could do that good at cozy but i promise you its true i won money also but not much more then i came with though im going to hickory 1 more time this year then cozy a few then the rest of the year cedar really starting to like cedar still trying to learn it

if u keep hickory open till thanksgiving ill be there every weekend till u close lol, catman blues is a great lake when its cold also

As long as a lake has a decent number of Blues in it, you should have a pretty good chance of catching them through out all winter.
