Well just got back from Willards for the first time. Had a good time. Within the first 30 minutes of being there around 5 in the afternoon yesterday my buddy got a 14 pound blue. Right after that I hit a 15 pound shovel. About an hour after that I got another 15 pound shovel, my buddy got a 19 pound shovel, and then I hit a 26. All of the fish caught between 5:30 PM and 7PM Once it got dark we thought it would really turn on, but it did the opposite.
Couple runs but could not get anything. My other friend managed an 18 and I saw maybe 3 other fish caught over night.
All in all it was a very nice lake. Fish were very healthy and fought hard. That 26 I caught fought as hard as the 40 I caught a few weeks back, so I was shocked when I saw it and it was that small.
They were a lot of people fishing and I was told they had 90 people show up to their Labor Day tourney.
I will be back there for sure.

That lake is a hell of a lake hard to fish my buddy took me there for the first time a month ago. Loved it ever since . Trolling and moving a lot is key if space is available.

Nice fish, from looks of the picture you guys were fishing in a good spot in that front lake! Steve Yeah it was a pretty good spot I think. Once we started catching fish, everyone seemed to shift over and start casting on us, which I hate, but I had a good time. Trolling is key I think. I got my first fish ever trolling there, so that gives me some hope on the trolling thing, before that I had no luck with it. I fish big bait though, which usually takes my float all over the place so that is kind of like trolling too...lol
