Many of you may not of used some of these rods considering the prices for these rods start at about $100.00 or higher for most of the rods I have listed.

I have used shimano, st croix, g loomis, and I think that they all are awsome rods and are worth it. But surf rod for me has to go to g loomis only cuz thats what I own. I do like the feel of the Diawa emcast but never used one yet. thats going to change next year hopefully

The Daiwa Emcast is OK but the Daiwa Saltiga rod is another story. They are awesome. I have used shimano, st croix, g loomis, and I think that they all are awsome rods and are worth it. But surf rod for me has to go to g loomis only cuz thats what I own. I do like the feel of the Diawa emcast but never used one yet. thats going to change next year hopefully

I can't believe that Daiwa has the most votes? Anyway, St. Croix 10'6" Heavy FTW.

DAIWA ELIMINATORS 11ft prefer the older model but the newer ones are good too.

What about UGLY STICKS, I love em, and they are super tough. I just accedently closed the tip of one in my truck door the other day and it diden't even crack. Thats just me though.

The ugly stick is a solid rod without a doubt.
